Everybody does have some god gifted or developed skills. So, you must be good at one or more skills for which you may or may not explicitly know about. While at the same time there are many people who don’t have or are seriously underdeveloped in an area in which you are a geek. Neither, everyone have time t
o teach all those who want to learn. However as a positive toward society, one has to do something to share one’s skill, best practices, advice or experiences.

There are many ways to do this. One of the exciting way to do this is to write about on internet so that anybody who search for the topic may find your advice and possibly save time and resources which he otherwise would has to spend.

Hubpages is a good platform for writing professional looking small articles (300 – 1000 words). It provides all essential elements and help, you need to write about something. Best thing about it is that it is very easy to learn. Last but not least, you can even earn some extra money by opting in to show advertisement. This advertisement is placed in such a way that it does not looks bad on your article. HubPages is a place where people write for the love of it.

If you are interested following is a step by step guide about how to start with. Note: you probably do not need to remember each step, as you will be guided by Hubpages at each step.

1. Go to Hubpages website
2. Fill the simple sign up form and click “Sign Up” button at the bottom
3. Verify you email address
4. Sign in again
5. Think about 4 – 5 minutes about any topic for which you can write well in about 300 – 500 (or more) words
6. On Hubpages’ website click on “Start a Hub” (Hub mean a short useful article or a blog post)
7. On next page write an appropriate title, select topic category (and sub category if required) and Hub format.  (if you are not sure, just select any format)
8. Agree that you will write quality content
9. In the next page there are many capsules e. g. text capsule or picture capsule etc.
10. Click on the text capsule to write your text and click on the picture capsule to insert your pictures
11. Write summary in the summary capsules
12. You will learn many other things to do during this process
13. After completion, click on “Publish” button at the top.

There is not much science about publishing on Hubpages. However a few good things to remember are as follows.

• Before writing hub on Hubpages.com it is better to writes main heading and different sub headings. Also write down important points on which you will write.
• After this first write complete hub in a MS Word or another text editor.
• Do not copy text from another website. (If hubpages.com detect this they will suspend your hub temporarily until you will rewrite and resubmit it.
• If you are using a picture make sure it is your own or at least not copy righted.  Or else do not use pictures.
• If you are thinking about earning then it is better to first write 2 – 3 hubs and they apply for google adsense for an account. It is worthwhile to read this
